Who we are

Nevill Construction Ltd is a building company based in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 17212947). We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy at dannev@hotmail.co.uk or on 07540 366453.

What we collect

When you get in touch, we may collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number and postcode or address
• Details about your property and the work you're considering
• Any photos, plans or documents you choose to send us
• Messages sent via our contact, quote or consultation forms, WhatsApp, email or phone

Our website forms are processed by Netlify, our hosting provider, which stores submissions securely so we can read and respond to them.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and arrange a site visit or consultation
• To prepare quotes and carry out and manage your project
• To keep records we're required to hold for accounting, insurance, guarantee and building-control purposes
• To ask, with your permission, whether we can share photos of your finished project or a review

Our lawful basis is usually the steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and legal obligations where records must be kept.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where it's needed to do the job: for example with our structural engineers, electricians, plumbers or building control, and with our insurers or accountants where required. We never sell your information or share it for marketing.

Cookies and website data

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It stores a single temporary flag in your browser so the logo animation only plays once per visit; this holds no personal data and clears when you close your browser. The contact page includes an embedded Google Map, and Google may set its own cookies when that map loads — see Google's privacy policy. Links to TrustATrader, MyBuilder, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp take you to those services, which have their own policies.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Project records are kept for as long as our guarantee, insurance and accounting obligations require — typically up to six years after completion.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email dannev@hotmail.co.uk and we'll respond promptly. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we update this policy we'll change the date at the top of this page.
